Rizler detained

A commenter on this entry tipped me off that spammer Christopher William Smith has been arrested. I don't know the details, but court records confirm that Smith had a detention hearing on Thursday. So looks like Rizler will be able to attend the July 6 hearing on the criminal contempt charges filed against him by the U.S.

I heard that the FBI got wind that he was comming back from the Dominican Republic and scooped him up when he touched down.

StarTribune.com has an article on Rizler in today's edition (7/6/2005). Subscription required.

I'm not sure why he would come back into the country at the same airport, but maybe that doesn't matter. Once they know which fake passport to look for, it's probably pretty tough to escape detection.

Why is the author of this blog advertising his book on the Specialham.com spam forum?

Why the "Spam Kings" ads at SpecialHam? It's not my doing. Check out this entry: http://spamkings.oreilly.com/archives/2005/07/spam_kings_ad_a.html
